About Network Rail
Network Rail is at the heart of revitalising Britain’s railway. We’re making rail safer, more reliable and more efficient than ever before. We do it all for our customers. That means everyone from commuters to train and freight operating companies. Passionate about great service, we take care to understand their needs, listen to their comments, and fulfil all our promises. Together, we’re making a railway fit for the future. And as the network continues to grow, you’ll grow along with us.
The Western route incorporates the core stations at either end of the Great Western Mainline – London Paddington and Bristol Temple Meads, which we own and run! The main challenge for us is to provide enough capacity on the railway at peak times for growing numbers of passengers to and from London, as well as Reading, Oxford, Bristol and Exeter. Demand for Freight is also growing.
Do you have good communication skills? If so, we need someone like you to provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support, as well as excellent customer service! You’ll provide the support our specialist teams or senior managers need to do an efficient job. It’s a varied role; from co-ordinating diaries, arranging travel and organising meetings, through to producing documents, taking minutes and ordering stationery. We’ll also look to you to maintain our filing system for all kinds of important records. What’s more, you’ll be a friendly and informed voice at the end of the telephone, handling enquiries and delivering excellent customer service on behalf of the team.
