Contract type: Fixed term contract for 12 months
Our Property Maintenance team is seeking a supervisor to help manage the delivery of our repairs service to our customers. As a key member of our maintenance team you will assist in the delivery of responsive repairs works to our housing stock of over 10,000 properties. In this pivotal role you will be responsible for organising and managing larger repairs to ensuring that our team of operatives have the right materials, tools and information required to do the job.
You will work closely with the repairs coordinators and the planning team to ensure that jobs are planned and organised so they can be delivered in the most efficient manner. You will support our trade’s operatives in resolving any issues they may have whilst undertaking the jobs.
You will be responsible for ensuring the jobs are undertaken in a safe manner, writing risk assessments and safe systems of work and ensuring scaffolds and equipment are fit for purpose. You will also undertake H&S inspections to ensure operatives are adhering to safe working practices.
This role involves monitoring the quality of work being delivered, investigate and respond to complaints and enquiries in respect of repairs and maintenance related issues.
With experience of working in building trades you will be able to demonstrate technical knowledge of a broad range of trades and experience of organising larger maintenance works.
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act – for the effective performance of a customer-facing role).
A full driving license is required for this position.
