Swindon Borough Council are looking to recruit a Broker to work within the Adult Commissioning Team. The role will be working with social care practitioners to procure packages of care and support from a range of specialist providers in Swindon.

The key elements of the role will be to ensure packages of care are put into place within a timely and efficient manner to ensure the necessary support for vulnerable adults in line with the Care Act. This role will require a flexible approach in order to manage a busy workload and prioritise work requiring an immediate response based on risk and need. A knowledge of providers or services would be an asset but an attention to detail and ability to maintain relationships will be the key skills required.

We are looking for someone to fulfil this challenging role in ensuring positive working relationships with care and non-care providers to encourage positive working between them and the Authority whilst being able to support continual improvement in the quality being delivered.
