The Octagon Restaurant

The Octagon Restaurant is a family-run business that has been proudly serving the people of Swindon for over 30 years. Customers have a wide variety of meals, snacks and beverages to choose from as The Octagon champion homemade products. As the only remaining members of the Craft Bakers Association left in Swindon, artisan baking is the heart and soul of the business. The chefs continue to make their own bread rolls, scones, quiche, pie, soup, cakes and biscuits as they have since the day of opening.

Situated less than one minute’s walk from Swindon town centre. Attached to the bus station and just around the corner from Swindon train station, The Octagon is the perfect pit stop for travellers and locals alike.

The building itself is unique; seven sides of the premises are glazed, making The Octagon the perfect place to watch the world go by over a coffee. Another architectural delight is the suspended ceiling, supported entirely by six huge pillars within the restaurant itself.

Proprietor Dennis Offer has followed in family footsteps, risking everything to open an independent business in the spring of 1985. Over 65 years his family have employed and trained hundreds of people in Swindon and raised thousands of pounds for charity.
