JOB SUMMARY
Prime Theatre is a professional theatre company that makes professional productions and projects for, with and by children and young adults. Prime is based at the Wyvern Theatre in Swindon. From this base we work through, Swindon, the South West and the UK training young creatives in schools, youth theatre and other community groups.

This role will assist with the general creative delivery of Prime Theatre. You will work alongside staff in schools, youth theatre and other artistic projects. You will work with artists and producers as they plan and deliver creative events. You will assist with general administration supporting this activity.

You should enjoy being creative and keen to support the development of children and young people. You do not need to be a drama specialist but should have your own experience of being artistic. This role engages with a lot of young people. A DBS check will be carried out.

SKILLS NEEDED
While your qualifications may not demonstrate your full potential we need a good grasp of English and Maths. You should have knowledge and understanding of basic software like Microsoft Word & Excel.
You should be flexible and enjoy variety in your work. You should value children and young people.

You should be creative and a good and confident communicator.

WORKING HOURS
25 hours as arranged with successful candidate between 10am-6pm Monday-Friday

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT
Prime Theatre will provide a variety of training around the tasks demanded by the role, this includes Microsoft, copywriting, communication and safeguarding.

You will learn how to plan and deliver creative events alongside a variety of artists.

A successful candidate will also have access to Arts Award accreditation and basic training in British Sign Language

RIO (Real Ideas Organisation) will provide the following training.
one to one sessions with a professional navigator (Real Ideas Career Coach) to support development, build confidence and independence
CV creation and addressing any personal barriers to success
Access to a Next Steps group where they will be supported to identify and respond to other opportunities and ways to progress into new work at the end of the placement
