Homeless in Swindon Town Centre

Shoppers and commuters pass by homeless people day after day but many may feel they do not know how to help. One of the simplest ways is to tell a professional. Here in Swindon we are lucky to have local Homeless charities that selflessly work hard on getting the homeless off the street.

Threshold Housing Link Threshold is a local independent charity which provides emergency, short, medium and long term accommodation to single homeless people in Swindon. If you have unwanted blankets, duvets, sleeping bags, warm clothes, backpack etc. and you would like to donate them to their charity, please contact them at adminthreshold@thl.org.uk or by phone at 01793 524 661.

The Salvation Army Booth House - Accommodate men and women experiencing homelessness with low to medium support needs. They work with them to identify their needs to achieve independent living.

Swindon Night Shelter run a Night Shelter every Friday nights from 9pm - 8am at St Mary's Church Hall, Cheney Manor Road, Swindon SN2 2PF. At the shelter they offer a hot meal, a chance to shower and wash clothes and a bed for the night. There's also an opportunity to relax, chat and received advice about help and support.
