Swindon Pop In celebrates its fourth birthday with a special coffee morning on Wednesday 12th December from 10am - midday

The Royal British Legion’s Swindon Pop In will be four years old in December 2018. Staff and volunteers are inviting anyone who has had any connection with the Pop In since it’s opening in December 2014 to join us for a special birthday coffee morning on Wednesday 12th December from 10am to midday.

The birthday coffee morning coincides with a regular joint coffee morning with Help For Heroes which is held in the Pop In once every three months.

There will be special presentation of a cheque for the Poppy Appeal for money which was raised from sales of the Swindon Advertiser’s special Remembrance editions.

There will also be special appeal for new volunteers to help either in the Pop In, as Case worker volunteers, or as committee members for next year’s Armed Forces Day committee.

The Pop In’s special exhibition commemorating the Centenary of the First World War Armistice is still open and will remain open until the end of 2018.

The Legion supports the whole Armed Forces community, past and present.

The charity has been supporting members of the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, British Army, Royal Air Force, reservists, veterans and their families since 1921 – and that support will continue long into the future.
