There is a new kid on the block in the town centre!
swaSURVIVOR, is a charity shop raising much needed funds for the Swindon Domestic Abuse Support Service and is situated in the Parade next to H&M. The charity offers support to all victims of domestic abuse across the town as well as having a unique purpose built building with 22 self-contained one and two bed flats for women and their children.
The shop began trading on Friday 12th July and has been extremely well received by customers. Its fantastic prime position is so important for the charity to get the recognition in the town and it is run purely by volunteers.
On Saturday 7th September at 11:00, BBC Points West presenter Alex Lovell will cut the ribbon for the official opening with a "Fashion Parade" of outfits selected from donated stock and creatively put together with help from the Wyvern Theatre.
Town centre retailers are invited be part of the parade by donating an outfit which will be worn by a model and your shop name included in the show’s listing and event publicity.
If you would like to be involved, please email Caroline Black or call 07840 792007.
